phone stolen, no insurance?/?

about 25 days into a new phone/new contract with 3 mobile and my phone was stolen...i rang them up and got it blocked etc but they are saying i have no insurance.

i remember the guy in the store saying i had 1 months free insurance when i got the phone but i cant remember for sure.

i need to check with them tomorow in store but if not i need to pay off the rest of my contract which comes to like £600 or extend it by another 18months, so 3 year totoal contract and they send me a new phone.

is there any way i can either get a new hpone free without doubling my contract or get them to terminate my contract for free or less than £600?
 
Its not looking good. you could buy a cheap phone off ebay or somewhere else. but they wont just give you a new phone because you are in a jam, unless you are a long time customer and have some pull in the company.

go in there and talk with them and say that you remember the sales associate say that he gave you insurance for one month free as a new customer. and see what they do.
