Very cool find indeed - you've made LOTS AND LOTS of people very happy.

Thanks on behalf of the many - I notice Nokia 8250 (I have an 8260?) is on the list . . . and I'm replacing my phone soon.

Might have to reinstall the phone support (it was spratted!)

Cheers and thanks.

Thanks for the info on the PhoneLink update.

I still am not able to SEND SMSs from the T3 to my Sony Ericsson T630. All other features (receiving SMS, dialing, etc.) work. But sending SMSs doesn't.

Any help would be appreciated.
TIA,
D

I have installed the phone link update (before I even tried this), and I can send SMS'es from my T3 to my Sony Ericsson T630 GSM phone. I didn't have any problems so unfortunately I have no suggestions for you.

However, there's still a problem: At the receiver's end all the messages start with "DATA MESSAGE:", which is not something I want to start my messages with.. and when I start putting in my national, but perfectly good ISO-8859-1 characters, these are not arriving at the other end.

This makes the SMS sending functionality pretty useless for me. What I would like to know is where the problem is -- who is generating that "DATA MESSAGE:" string? The T3, or the T630? And is it the T3 or the phone which strips off my national letters? I would be surprised if it was the phone that did the latter, as it can of course send all characters just fine when entering them on the phone.

Reading received SMS on the T3 is fine though, national letters and all.

Hi,
For a moment I was left bewildered by the date shown on the post as it was in 2004 something. Gosh. Tot someone had turned back the clock. Thankfully I checked the date again to verify that I was in the right dimension. Nothing much to add. Just heartened that people DO read old posts again. What great people in this forum. :D
