phone..is it the battery or what?

today my phones messsin up when i pluged the charger in the screen flashes abd it wont stay charged.. can someone tell me whats up with it
 
it depends, has anything happened to your phone?have you gotten it wet by accident? dropped it? you might have short circuited it, or it could just be a stupid battery.
