hey guys i need to get my son a phone for x-mas and i hate to sign a new contract ,, i found a Samsung Eternity Touch phone for $150 ,, its about a month old he said ,, or is there a better phone i need to look for ????

The carrier usually requires a contract for lines added to a FamilyTalk plan whether you get a reduced price phone or not. If your son is already a FamilyTalk member, you can get a phone from any source other than the carrier with no new contract required. If you have to get a contract, you might as well get a reduced price phone. You pay the same for service regardless of the phone's source.
 
i guess i will go and do a contract and get a soltice or a impression ,, they are free when doing a contract and the phone is new with a warranty ,,,,

i guess thats the best way to go ????
