Phone for social life...

Okay, so I am an addict when it comes to text messaging, AIM , and email on cell phones. The phone I currently have (Samsung SGH e316) isn't really too good for all of that. I've been looking around, and the Sidekick II features everything I need (im not getting the SK3...too much $ and I already have an IPOD and bluetooth on other items). Should I get the SKII? The only problem is, I dont know if it would work. I currently have AT&T GSM, and the SKII is unlocked. Would the frequencies still work? Im a bit confused.......if anyone could please explain this to me I would appreciate it alot!

Thanks
-Tom

The only thing that you would be able to use on the SK is the text and phone...you wouldn't be able to use the email, aim, or web since the danger servers aren't working with Cingular/AT&T

Since you have cingular, I'd try going for the Cingular 8125. You can find one used for as low as 300 bucks. They are a pretty sick phone, a friend of mine has one and after using it for about 5 minutes I was texting like it was my job.

If you do get the Sidekick 2, make sure you get the one that has the 850 band, as that is the network that cinuglar opperates on.

The sidekick 2 can be unlocked and used on cingular but cant use the data services besides basic text messaging.

I used to have a hp 6515 and I loved it. They keypad was good and it was very easy to text on. But I just found having a smartphone wasnt the best for me because they are so big...
