So my Blackberry 8900 suffered water damage one year into a 3 year Rogers contract. I might be able to get a bit of a deal from them on a new phone, maybe not in which case I'll get unlocked, so I'd like some suggestions, please..
I think I'd like to move away from the Blackberry. At work we do not have BES, and I'd really like to access mail folders other than my inbox. So something with a decent IMAP client or ActiveSync support would be ideal. My personal email is GMail.
WIFI - The WIFI on the Blackberries (on both the 8900 and the 8320) is so spotty. Its 50/50 whether it will maintain a connection, and changing access points doesn't really help. So something with reliable wifi.
Can run a Skype client for instant messaging.
Some form of VOIP of wifi would be a bonus, even if its Skype.
I'd really like an N900, but the lack of 3g on Rogers is steering me away. Currently eyeing
- Nokia e72
- Nokia n97 mini
- iPhone (I generally hate apple, and don't run windows or mac os)
- Something Android, but I don't think the Rogers choices are very good at the moment).
Thanks
