Phone Call from 1002

Has anyone else received calls from a number listed as 1002? That is all it says, 1002, and of course you can't call it back because it's not a number.

Does anyone know what this is? It seems they call when I don't have my phone on me or else I would answer it. I received 1 call Friday and 2 on Saturday.

That would be a call from a telemarketer, misrepresenting your phone number is illegal (FCC rules). Unfortunately there is not a way that I am aware of to trace those calls so a complaint can be made...

It could also be a call from Verizon Wireless customer service.

Depending on the call center they're calling from, they may call from a 4 digit number or sometimes a full 10 digit number.

I just had a LEGITIMATE Verizon Wireless representative call me back using a number 2039.

Did you place a call to them first? I have never had a representative of Verizon call me just out of the blue.

Well, I've had it in both situations (calling from similar numbers). I've called them, they placed a call back to verify something. I've then had a situation where i've placed multiple calls to customer service and then a week later they called to make sure I was happy with the resolution.

They also place various calls to just check up to make sure you're happy.
