Phlegm from throat

I am 51 years old. I have had very thick phlegm coming from the back of my throat for over a year. Now I notice that underneath my chin the skin seems bloated. I look like a frog. At first I thought it was just fat because of my age. I tried chin exercises, but it's getting bigger. what could be the cause and should I see a doctor? Thanks. Sincerely,

Probably make you feel better if you did see a Dr. At least you would know (maybe) what the problem was. Could be several different things and swelling may or may not be related. Personally, I'm 55 and I think I look more like the turkey neck thing. LOL. I do have LPR and the same symptoms you describe along with about 10 others at times.
