Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~

I've never played the game, but the anime is top notch, it has already been licensed by Funi so the dvd's will be released at some point in the US.

Why is Phantom so complient with Inferno. She could take them out if she wanted. It doesnt seem like she enjoys killing. I thinks its weird that she does whatever that doctor says.

i dont think so if u look back her memory was erased, just a zwei so it means she was like a new born baby with just some doubts and the doctor trained her for 2 years or so was revealed in ep. 4. I think itz expected that she behaves that way but with zewi there it may change since she is showing sings of emotion.

I just saw the fourth episode and it reminded me of the movie but seemed to be animated a bit better. I've enjoyed it so far and am curious to see where it goes.

She may have had her memories erased, but she is a trained hitman, she knows she's capable of taking out Inferno. She also knows that the doctor kidnapped her and erased her merories, why would she be loyal to someone like that. I think this is odd behavior under the circumstance's.

I thought she called him at one point in a previous episode. Also, your logic doesn't make sense since she left to place to go to the convenience store. Cal was at least partially trained and has shown a lot of street smarts from the beginning, it was OOC to have her not at least call or confirm he was actually dead...and vice versa for Reiji. The writers coped out by how they decided to transition that when they could have done so in a much more convincing way.

Episode 20 - i knew it was CAL but how did she grow like that in only 2 years? O.O

lets put it lyk this if since u were a kid you were never allowed to have more than the minimun and u were never aware u could improve would u disobey they one allowing u to stay alive or even more think bout going agaisnt him itz the same as with dogs even thought a pitbull and others could easily kill you and take ur plate they dont do they?

Not that I'm aware of, my logic is pretty good, remeraber she went to the store before the explosion, leaving at that point is fine, but leaving after the explosion is risking Reiji coming back and her not being there so going to a pay phone was out of the question, Cal was manipulated by Scythe, remeraber he's very good at doing that to people, I do however agree with you that Reiji could of done more to find out if Cal was really in the flat.

Episode 20 was pretty good, not sure what Cal is intending on doing, I guess from her view point Reiji left her for somebody else, I'm sure Scythe would of told her that too, Cal does have the advantage though, she now has massive guns

At first i thought reiji and Ein were in their early twenties but now they are passing as high school students and cal looks older than both of em, that was a bit ridiculous.

Been watching this, planning an AMV around it (if it goes where I want it to >_>). Was a big fan of Noir and definitely am liking the similarities with this one. One thing I wish it had was a soundtrack by Yuki Kajiura though...

If you think about it, Ein most likely was in a much harder situation than Zwei, emotionally speaking. At least Zwei has her as a mentor, someone who has already been through what he's experiancing. She, we can guess, had no one but Doctor Sicko.

It seems that she buried her desire for free-will along with her emotions, in order to protect her sanity. It's sort of a Catch-22; as a master assassin she can take out Inferno, but then she might never have been able to become a master assassin if she hadn't supressed the part of her that holRAB the hope of freedom.

yeah, that confused me too. although i'm afraid theyre not gonna explain all that so I personally use the explanation of "because its anime"

It also looked like Ein was enjoying herself there with Zwei, I know she was acting but the way she was looking at him at the end was like she was imagining them together being free.

Episode 21

As predicted CAL is out for "revenge" and will kill Ein and then Zwei. Scythe seems to play a very minor role these days since he can't control CAL he's more of a bemused onlooker...

Don't forget some people can look much older than they are at a young age, it's not that out of the question, that happened over 2 years.

Really don't want Ein or Cal to die, but it seems like one of them will unless maybe Reiji gets there in time, I Lol'd when Cal threw the towel over Scythes head

ahh! i just love how this series is going. im lyk it way too much the character desing, the animation, the plot and how there r no guys holding a katana wich has been pretty much the norm in animes this days. So wat u guys think of ep.7 it look lyk zwei and ein r going to become enemies in a few episodes.

Episode 8 was awesome, Zwei found out who he was before he had his mind wiped and had to make the choice of staying with the organization or being on Phantom and Scythe's side who are now their enimies, Phantom got shot and was injured badly, but Zwei took the bullet out of her, I did find it silly though that they went back to the place they trained at, surely they would of been looking for them there.

ahh it hurts me to know that this great series have so few fans here, btw the noir kind of storyline is discarded in episode 9 after ein went back to scythe and now reiji is going scythe hunting to find her and i wonder if claudia actually have feelings for him or if she is just using him for her own benefit.
