Petsmart's Fish Return Policy on Sick Fish.?

I recently got a Crowntail Betta fish at my local Petsmart. Lately I have begun to realize that he has not been acting normal, or eating any of his food, loosing major color on his fins, and my friend said he is possibly showing signs of Ich.

I still have my receipt, the only thing is that I bought him on the 1st of February, and it is now Feb 27th. I plan on taking him back to the store, will they exchange him for another fish?

What would you suggest?

I had a friend who worked at petco said they usually don't do that, especially since it's been a long time.

but decesion is subject to management.
 
Petsmart has a 14day guarantee. It's unlikely that they will exchange him. You can give it a try though. Some Petsmarts are very lenient on their return policy.
