This list is getting smaller and smaller.

But how is that even applicable if the companies don't actually put anything out for sale? Most of the Saban shows we're talking about in this forum haven't seen any sort of legit exposure in years.

Since you didn't list Digimon, I'm guessing the rights to the first 4 seasons have reverted back to Toei. I'm also guessing that DinoZaurs and Flint the Time Detective have reverted back to the Japanese rights holders.

Not in America, no, but they're still seen on Disney-owned outlets globally, and Disney feels that the Saban fare is stronger worldwide than in their home territory, where they prefer to focus on their newer fare.

Let's be honest, Anything that didn't premiere after 2005 isn't on Disney's barometer. Our best bet would be to convince them to either release it themselves or ask them through traditional means (again, not petitions) that we want to see them, even if they get a third-party like Mill Creek or Shout Factory to release it. And when you convince them there's an audience that wants to buy the series, they might be convinced they want to see the series on the air somewhere.

I don't know, their international networks took off most of the Fox Kids/Saban shows when they renamed their networks to Disney Cinemagic and Disney XD.

Anyways, I remember back in 2007 when ABC Family brought back Life with Louie, Eek! Stravaganza, Sweet Valley High, and Attack of the Killer Tomatoes via online. Disney has a stake in Hulu, so I don't know why can't they just throw most of the Fox Kids/Saban shows there.

Shout DOES have some deals with Disney, mostly for one of the newer Marvel shows and ABC-related material. But according to the staffers on that forum, getting DVD rights those shows was like pulling teeth while simultaneously jumping to a flaming hoop. And the chances of their current deal extending to any other Disney material are laughably nil, if I understand correctly.

I can think of one that people think worked- Kim Possible. As for the shows on that list that Disney supposedly owns and doesn't own, most people are pretty sure the rights to Masked Rider actually expired.

Disney has never owned the rights to Beast Wars: Transformers. Hasbro has always owned the rights to Beast Wars: Transformers, which is one of the reasons they were just able to enter into a contract with Shout! to release it on DVD. Beast Machines: Transformers falls under that same umbrella, and it has had a full release by Rhino. The only Transformers series to have not had any released on DVD is Robots in Disguise.

Mummies Alive! is owned by Cookie Jar Toons now, not Disney, which is why it aired on This TV's Sunday morning block for 2 years.

Kong: The Animated Series came from BKN Kids, not Saban, and the rights have reverted back to BKN.

Monster Rancher
likewise came from BKN.

Whomever compiled that list really ought to have gone and looked to see which series were done by Saban beforehand, because Action Man and Galidor were also not done by Saban or Disney, and the Fox Kids Escaflowne was an edited version of the full version of Escaflowne, available on DVD from BANDAI. Saying you want Saban to acquire all these series from Disney when the only ones Disney has is the library from Saban isn't a good use of a petition as it is full of inaccurate facts that actually would lead to it being tossed aside all together.

According to a source, Saban reacquired these two at the same time he repurchased Power Rangers from Disney. While Saban didn't publicly announce it, the fact that material from both series pops up in early PR seasons kind of supports it since they'd need to clear the rights to use those.

Yup, its not Disney's anymore for sure. They never aired A Friend in Need while they had the rights to Power Rangers, but the 3 parter was shown in full during the 145 Days event on the Rangers website last winter. Most likely Saban managed to get some sort of rights to use the character or maybe even renewed the old contract with Toei.

When you say source, do you mean your personal source, or some information that's out there in cyberspace? I've read lots of speculation about him getting other shows back, but never any confirmation. And what of Beetleborgs or Mystic Knights?

Other than A Friend in Need and a brief 5-second clip in Time Force, I can't think of any other examples of MR appearing in PR. And none of the VR Troopers.

The tomatoes cartoon is from Marvel which is Disney, and Camp Candy belongs to DIC.

Only a few of those belong to Saban originally and even those that belong to him some of them aren't nostalgic enough to bring good sales.

May I ask who owns the Incredible Crash Dummies TV Special, the Super Dave cartoon, C Bear and Jamal, Stickin Around, and Los Luchadores?

The Incredible Crash Dummies special is owned by Mattel (via Tyco, who distributed and produced the special), Super Dave is owned by Cookie Jar (via the DiC library), C-Bear and Jamal is owned by Bento Box (via Film Roman), Stickin' Around is owned by Nelvana, and Los Luchadores is still owned by BVS Entertainment (i.e. Disney's Saban/Fox Kids library).
