Pete Doherty Vs. The World

^worst argument ive ever seen. complete lack of moral standarRAB. you dont seem to grasp the concept of ethics and free-will do you? you really think doherty was in a state to meticulously decipher what would and what would not kill her? dream on. it was a reckless action in which she was lucky to escape with her life..though i'd rather be dead than be a junkie.

You could equally say that the 'slut' did what a drug addict does best.

And I cannot believe you still actually think you have an argument... you are the single most stupid person I've saw on this forum.

Well if the slut died it's her own fault for being unconscious already. It's a free world and I hold no judgement on anyones actions.

If she had died i'm sure Pete Doherty would have been dry rooting her body.

to be honest, i dont mind if people do hate them because i can see where their coming from. on the other hand, to me their fun, exuberant and wild, characteristics i feel were sadly lacking in british music up until the release of Up the Bracket. they put life back into the scene and like them or not you cannot fault them for that - nor the influence they've had. plus, i personally can identify with doherty and barats lyrics - which is important to me.

have you followed whats been said? none of us have said he's a great guy. in fact ive gone as far to say he's a disgrace. i wouldnt be disappointed if he got locked up either because we do not need people like that in society. yet there is a difference between being a great guy and being a great songwriter - which in my opinion he is.

adidasss, you have a point about drugs playing a creative part in making music.
The Beatles being an obvious case in point.
They went from being suit wearing popsters to psychedelic pioneers all on the back of mind altering drugs.
But Doherty has obviously lost the plot big time, he's not just experimenting with drugs, they have completely taken over.
To be filmed injecting heroin into a young fans veins is unforgivable. I really don't care anymore, how much talent this man has, or how much potential he had (had being the operative word). He's lost control and I have no sympathy for him whatsoever and I certainly wouldn't describe it as tragic.

Plain and simple...the man's a twat!
He got what he deserved, as did Lennon for ending up with that living nightmare, Yoko fucking Ono.
A clear case for not doing drugs if ever I saw one.

here we go

What a scurabag

Some people idolize Doherty over here for his music.
Now, im not saying he's in the same league as Lennon. no way. But i dont think if Lennon was alive today he'd be anywhere near as idolized as he is. i mean look at McCartney, hes respected but he's not idolized. seeing as i believe they were both equal in talent i think Lennon would be in a similiar league as that. Death immortalizes people. I do find it irritating though when a lot of silly, neanderthal indie kiRAB jump on the Doherty bandwagon because its cool to like the bad boy, renegade character. This is no joke, i asked someone who "idolizes" Doherty what their favourite libs album is..he replied "Dont look back into the sun"

Just because you're drug adict doesnt mean you have to inject other people. In fact I know druggies who have never shot drugs into other people.

And the difference is I'm sure John Lennon didn't inject an unconscious girl with heroin. That's my sole reason for disliking Pete Doherty. Whatever he does to himself is fine, it's his own body, let him kill himself.
