Personal Gnutella Network/Server

I am at a college and the computer department has limited all P2P bandwidth out to the Internet (it works, but extreamly slow). A group of friends and I have decided that we need to setup our own P2P server to share files between the college residents that will use the LAN to transfer the files instead of the Internet connection.

Can anyone point me in the right direction on what software I would need to setup a Gnutella server (or anyother free P2P/MP3 sharing server).

Thanks

If you can get your hands on a client that doesn't automatically connect to some internet relector, get one person to run it, then tell everyone else to connect to the IP running, and voil

The new release of Gnucleus apparently supports the ability to create lan specific networks. I don't know how it works, but it probably makes what you want to do possible (or at least easier).
