Persistent Lightheadedness - Really need Help

Hi there

Really hope someone out there can shed some insight.......38, very healthy, triathlete - not history of any illnesses
I do travel extensively for work and am on planes a lot with time zone issues, this is not new though i have been doing this for years

3 months ago this light headed feeling started - CONSTANT since then. It is not dizziness, or vertigo - so the inner ear thingy ruled out by my physicians.

repeated blood tests - all normal, iron deficient but not anemia, this is nothing new for me and on supplements.

CAT scan of head - normal
All cardiac test - normal

I do have giardia (from a 12 week trip to Asia) half way through treatement for that, but still not feeling any better.

Not blood sugar issues, eat a very healthy diet, all greens, organics, low glycemic index - no caffiene alcohol or sugar.

Naturopath - thought perhaps Adrenals, yet no other things lead to that point.

BP - is low, but that is normal for me

Desperate for a place to start! This is starting to cause stress.....I would be eternally grateful for a solution or at least knowing the cause of this. Have been in emerg (here and in Asia) 4 times now and do not want to live my life this way.

i have the samething, i am 34 and had a hyesto. in 07 they took everything...since then i had on and off dizzy/light headed feeling like im in a boat or water moving around in my head and part of my problem is hormones and anxeity from this...have you had your estrogen levels checked i did and mine where in the 20 and normal femal for my age should be 70 or higher:confused:

Hi Stacy..........not in a while, i know it was low at one point a couple of years ago when i was doing my ironman training and that can be common in athletes...so that may be worth checking . Hear you on the anxiety - i am getting so stressed about this, i am sure I am making it much worse!

I did see an indigenous Doctor when i was in the Himalyas in Bhutan early this summer, he gave me some mystery herbs, and voila it went away, came back full on when returning home....if only i knew what was in those herbs :)

Did the treatment for your hormone issues help?
