Periods and a class camping trip?

Well, on September 21st my school takes my grade on an annual camping trip. Free of electricity and running water. I averaged out the days on a calculator, and my period was supposed to come on the 24. Until I think it may have started again today, so I averaged that, and it should come on the 19th. My periods last about 5 days, and I don't know how I'd survive with cramps and not being able to use tampons in the woods. How do I deal with this. Is there anyway to delay my period?

Why can't you use tampons in the woods?? As long as you dispose of them properly (in the garbage, well wrapped), there's no reason why you can't use them on a camping trip. As for cramps, take some Advil or midol along with you, and maybe tell a female teacher that is coming with you that you get bad cramps when you get your period and you've just started it. I know it's embarrassing, but every woman understands how it is. The first time I got my period my cramps were so bad I started crying in front of the whole class. I had to tell my teacher, and she took me to the nurses office who gave me some advil and let me lie down until my mom could come pick me up. I was so thankful cuz it was terrible.

The only way to delay your period is if you're on the pill. That way you would just start a new pack of pills right after the third week of your previous pack. That way you would skip your period.
There is one other way, but I don't think you want to get pregnant.
Other then those two there is no way to delay your period.
Good luck.
