Period 2 days late and a Negative preganancy test?

I am tying to conceive with my fiancee. Due to my calander my period was due yesterday dec 1st. I took a HPT yesterday morning and got a BFN. I was going to take another tomorrow moning. Its just so depressing to get BFN's when you really want to conceive thi month. this was our first month trying and i just came off BC after being on it for a year and im in myearly 20's if that helps. Do you think I could be pregnant and i just maybe tested to early. like maybe the hormones aren't high enough yet to read on a HPT?
 
Well you might be late because of coming off the pills. I stopped my pills in June and my cycles are still not right. I have only had 2 periods since June so you will just have to patient! I sooo know how you feel and I hate BFN's as well! You will just have to put it out of your mind as best as you can! Good Luck!

EPT and first response pick up the hormone hCG beta. (between 10-15mIU) which is pretty low.
you could be pregnant and still have a low hCG level.
its probably the pill's that are making you're period late, some womens fertility do not come back for a good 6months after the pill and some return immediately!.

if nothing in a week, i would test again with first morning urine. if nothing, call the doctor
