That's true and I have really don't have to a clue what they are going to do with Luke. They make him out as the big villian, but we know it was based on the influence of Kronos.
 
Finally saw the movie! It was amazingg!!! It somewhat like the book...but im still reading it im only on the 11th chapter.
 
:nod: Exactly! It's one thing to write out a few characters/scenes, as long as it doesn't affect the series. That is, if they want to make the other books into movies.

If they had written Kronos in more in the right way, I probably wouldn't have such a negative attitude towards the movie. *shrugs* Oh well.

It was still enjoyable at times :nod:
 
I really enjoyed the film. I have always had a love for Mythology. I'm so going to see it again. :D I really hope it will make enough money to satisfy the film studio to make the sequels.

Also after I saw the film I had to read the books. I LOVE the first book! I'm already reading it the second time. I'm waiting for the second book to come to my store in hardback. They seem to be selling REALLY well. I'm excited to read the others. I can understand some people's disappointment that the film wasn't exactly like the book. I felt that a little too, but the film to it's self was really good, so I enjoy them separately. Logan Lerman was AWESOME as Percy. I love the guy who played Poseidon. He is gorgeous. I hope in the film and the book that he and Percy start to have a closer relationship in the future. I was sad about that change in the film.

I can't wait to read the new series that the writer has for this universe and the new series coming out called "The Kane Chronicles" which deals with Egyptian mythology. I'm really excited about it. :D
 
I agree with the issue with Kronos. He was only mentioned once in the beginning and that's it. I don't know how they are going to fit him in through the future movies, especially since he is a very important role in the books.
 
I'm kinda sad that I didn't like the movie because I was so hyped up for it. One of my main issues was the lack of Kronos. Not even a mention of him!! I was fine without Ares, Mr. D, Clarisse, etc. But Kronos missing? :nono: I have issues with a lot of it but whatever.

Anywho, my favorite parts were any that included Luke :sigh: Also, I thought Logan was excellent as Percy. The Lotus Casino scene was the best part of the movie and I thought it was pretty spot on to the book. [Also, I liked the Maserati display. In my mind, it's a small shoutout to book 3 - though I really doubt it. :lol:] I kinda didn't like how Annabeth was in the movie, yet I love her in the books. I felt something...off from her. Oh and I love Sean Bean as Zeus. Perfect casting IMO. :D
 
:lol: I so can't wait to see that on big screen...It'll be super hilarious...just thinking about it makes me lol :lol:
 
Which is the way it should be since she's back on Earth with her mom during Spring and Summer. lol. Ahck, it's all good, minor detail. :lol: Rosario is one of my favorite actresses, so the more she's in it, the less of a problem it is for me. :lol: I've never read the books, I kind of want to go check them out. :nod:

Anyway, I'm pretty stoked, most likely gonna go see it this weekend.

I'm pretty sure it's set in the summertime and Persephone is definitely in there, even though she was just mentioned in the book and doesn't appear at all.
 
Since the movie has now made $126 million worldwide do you think there's a chance we'll get a sequel? I hope we will because I wanna see all the books on big screen esp book 5..it's my favorite in the series :love:
 
The trailer made me want to go read the books. Many people are giving high praise to it - kids, young adults and even adults alike... I really want to read it myself before the movie shows :) Also, I love adventure stories like these.
