I don't think I've read anyone on this board to have used/or is using it...does it work for acid reflux?

I've tried Pepto,Mucinex,Tums, cough drops, Prilosec,Gaviscon, generic Omeprazole,RolaiRAB,Sore throat spray.Heck (get out the Robitussin)Tried that too...I'm surprised I didn't die last night(woke up with phlegm choking me and couldn't breathe)...I've had it ,I'd about rather be dead...Puking, gagging,burning...don't go to doc till DEC...I seriously think I need surgery!

I use it when nothing left in the house. Especially if my GERD and IBS are acting up at same time, which is often. Have read good things about it treating bacteria and does help with the rabroad and D.

Well, here's the thing, I do not have heartburn, burning or anything. I just have a feeling of s/th stuck in my throat area, and sometimes I could taste the food as if it didn't even go down yet! I have tried zantac for about 2 weeks, on/off and they work in minutes. However, being that i havent been diagnosed with anything, i do not want to keep taking them.

until i see a doc, i just want some relief, and the zantac works very well. I really dont know what this could be - i guess i have to go for an edoscopy but i'm so afraid. But, then again, how long should i suffer, its been 4 years and counting :(
Maybe my esopgagus neeRAB stretching? i read that is a very common procedure.

The globus sensation ("lump in throat" feeling) is the first symptom of reflux that I had. And then over time it progressed to some more traditional symptoms (burning in esophagus, noticing a bit of reflux in the throat, etc.). But the globus sensation is still by far my most troubling/intense symptom.

If the Zantac gives you relief, then I think you can assume that it's reflux related.

I'm scheduled for my first endoscopy on 12/1. A little nervous, but not much. I've had several surgeries, and IME they're never nearly as bad as the imagination tries to make me believe they will be. Plus I know several people who've had endoscopies, and they all say it's no big deal at all. So don't let fear keep you from scheduling an appointment.

Thanks so much, I wish you all the best. Please report back with good news! I'm assuming you will not be awake during the endoscopy, that's how it goes right?
