Really, what I'm trying to say is that it's his idea of versatility and recognition as an artist. He works with what he has, and has been around for some time.
Sure, it's a sloppy sound, but I think while it's heavily borrowed, it's a style all his own. Perhaps I jumped the gun, but I really can't think of anyone else who's gonna be recognized in this history books that has become mainstream besides Trent and Manson, and while being great, are highly genre specific.
