I'm 20 years old.. I have 2 babies, 20 month old and a 5 month old.. and married to the babies dad, but we are not together any more. He lives at his moms and i live at my dads. But neither of us have went to file for divorce because we cant afford it, and we are in no rush to anyway.
I put down as separated in my FAFSA, how much of an influence will my husbands income have on the finance decisions if i put that we are separated. I plan on going to the community college, and wanted to hopefully get the tuition almost free because i have no job and don't even get any call backs when i apply anywhere.
Also, my husband is unemployed as of april, will that be considered almost as having low income since a job after unemployment checks are not definite
And if i were to get a free ride for being a separated mom of 2 with no income besides 100 a weel for child support... would i be able to get a student loan out on top of that for things i would need for school such as computer, transportation, etc..
I know I'm expecting or hoping for a lot but i need all the help i can get to go back to school financially or i wont be able to go.. Thanks for all the help!
