People Who Have Let You Down

Yeah, what you and Strawberryjuice said. The vintage Ren & Stimpy's were awesome. I'll go on record and say that Ren smacking himself with a hammer in absolute desperation to get the Happy Helmet off is one of the funniest things I've ever seen anywhere. I had a flash of optimism come over me when I heard that Spike TV was bringing Ren & Stimpy back. Yeah! We're getting Ren and Stimpy back! Woohoo!

....And then I actually saw it. What was this? It wasn't Ren and Stimpy. It was some unrecognizable mess. I think they aired -what?- three episodes? John managed to totally ruin his own creation in just three episodes. Quite the dubious accomplishment. :(

And then of course, bit by bit over the years finding out what an arrogant jerk John is, but that's another story....

I actually agree with you. Lazlo is no Rocko. Not by a long shot. But it's not a bad show, and doesn't deserve all the seething venom it gets around here. Half the time I feel like people who don't even watch it feel inclined to jump on the "Rocko rules. Lazlo sucks" bandwagon just because it's the fashionable stance around here.

Kishimoto perhaps? Yeah, maybe the Naruto manga is ending and that has little to do with the anime, but if Shippuden follows suit in a similar fashion, then Kishimoto has let a lot of people down.

Hey, wasn't Butch making another show also, but then it got canned by the network. He was heading to three series before Nick stepped and decided to stop it. Nothing could save FOP at that point...
Anyway, I have yet to actually see Ren & Stimpy Adult Party cartoon. I can't find any clips, any episodes...not even the title sequence. All I've found was a slightly disturbing commercial.

For the record, I don't dislike Camp Lazlo simply because it isn't Rocko. I wasn't expecting it to just be Rocko with different characters. I dislike it because, really, I just find it boring, uninteresting, and none of the characters really appeal to me.

I've tried watching the show numerous times but I just cannot get into it.

Agreed. A good moment here or there, but I can't call myself a Lazlo fan.

One seires that comes to mind is Samurai Champloo. IMO, Cowboy Bebop is a top-notch anime; a well-executed, intelligent, emotional, brilliant piece of work on par with any live-action drama, but Champloo is just so... average, in comparison. Not necessarily a bad show, but not what I was expecting from the mind of such an excellent show.

I also love Rob Renzetti's work on Dexter's Lab, 2 Stupid Dogs, The Powerpuff Girls, Family Guy, and Foster's, but couldn't get into My Life As A Teenage Robot. I thought it had problems trying to find itself; as a comedy, it's awfully banal, coming from the guy who made "E. Peterbus Unum" one of the most consistently funny Family Guy's of them all. As an action show, it's pretty lame(then again, I do think his Jack eps were rather weak...), and none of the characters came off as very good to me. I gave the show a fair shake, but didn't enjoy it as much as I should of.
