People who are anti-union are the biggest idiots ever

as a memeber of the IAFF, this union exists solely to elect democratic politicians and worse, protect the most incompetent people that are unfortunately my co-workers.
 
i dunno about other unions, im in the UBC, NYC carpenters union... i make good money and rightfully so... unskilled people are unable to produce quality work at a fast pace... the union itself will let in people who are no talent lazy assholes, but they dont last more than a day on the job... companies dont put up with some dipshit coming on the job and not knowing how to use his tools and produce... he gets his lay off check right there... then back to the out of work list he goes where he will be sitting home jerking off for ~6months before getting another call...

a good journeyman will end up staying with the same company because he works well for them and he enjoys working there. so in closing the union wont weed out shitty people but a union company will.
 
and 90 bucks every 3-4 months isnt that bad. Without the Union theres no way I would of been able to get the job I have now. Plus they train me no extra cost. That's like 400 bucks a year and a lvl1 apprentice makes more then that in a week People who bitch about unions are mad jelly.
 
we understand all that perfectly well, they got us the safe workplace we enjoy today, and we say fucking thanks bros. But there is NO WAY that we are going back to 1800s working conditions* so how about they fuck off now and stop ruining everything.






*until we officially reach 3rd world status as a result of the economic catastrophe the ruling elite, ENABLED BY UNIONS, have unleashed upon us
 
I would have accepted a pretty sweet job last year if they hadn't been a union shop.

Sorry, but I am where I am because of my talent and hard work. I'm not about to sacrifice my future to stand in a seniority line for 15 years.
 
I don't think that tax hikes would create jobs. But I don't see how taxing the wealthy more heavily is a bad thing.

I'm not an economist by any means, but where the gap between the wealthy and the middle class is continually expanding, I'm not seeing the "trickle down" effect really working.
