...How do I fix it? In the last month or so of my job, I have been approached a few times by supervisors (one in particular that seems to be out to get me in trouble) and co workers, with "mistakes" I've made in my work. However, when I go "Oh no! Tell me how to do better next time, I'm so sorry." They go into all this detail and bewilder me because I have no idea what they are talking about. I'll say something along the lines of "Oh...well I wish someone would have told me before now, but that's good to know for next time." and they look at me like I'm an idiot.
I was just given the basics because we had a large event coming into town, and they said they would finish my training once it was done. Well, that was three months ago and they are just now getting the New Hire Orientation done for all their new employees. ("New" employees being within the last 4 or 5 months.) I keep getting scolded for mistakes I didn't even know I made.
Now I don't want to be an obnoxious employee, but I'm starting to get frustrated. I made a mistake the other day and apparently just barely avoided a write-up for my mistake, but I didn't know any different.
How should I approach my General Manager to speak with her? I wrote a very informative but gentle email asking if we could have a meeting about this particular subject, but I don't know how to phrase the problem without sounding angry.
What should I do?
