Part of me always admires someone who knows what they like...but on the same page...I prefer talking to music geeks who are up for damn near anything...

That doesn't matter, I'd like to think that I'll keep up with the current music scene no matter what age I am. Older folk seem a bit weary in that respect.

Listening to older music doesn't necessarily have to exclude discovering new music...

I should also note that I don't listen to Nirvana or Stone Temple Pilots nearly as much as I did 10 years ago...
