Security? Its pretty much firmly established that our generation is screwed. We will spend our entire lives paying into the fund only to find that it will be completely gone by the time we are old enough to retire (this is assuming the retirement age ISN'T raised). We will literally get none of our money back and there is not a precious thing we can do about it.
So, isn't it pretty irritating to hear our "wiser elders" complaining about the possibility that they might have to wait a couple more years to draw their benefits, or that they might not get back 100% of what they paid in?
Don't you ever feel like giving them something to really complain about?
Note: Please include your birth year with your answer, so I can identify the "wiser elders" who chose to ignore my instructions and respond regardless.
RockIt, you're full of crap.
Republicans haven't done jack to fix it, they've just made it progressively worse than it already was.
You're right, my generation understands what's going on. Yours doesn't.
Up Yours:
Why should I get a job? So more of my money can go to pay for your Medicare and your retirement?
Screw that.
I'd rather live in a cardboard box than subsidize the retirement of ingrates.
Enlightened Liberal:
You're the reason why I sometimes hate calling myself a Liberal.
Your generation aborted a third of my generation and bled the other two thirds of us dry.
Yah, you guys sure lived it up and you stuck us with the bill.
My contempt for your generation is completely reasonable.
