I just obtained a Linden weight-driven wall clock. My grandparents had it and kept immaculate care of it for as long as I can remember, but I don't know what kind of care it has gotten in the past decade or so. I have the hands set, the weights are on the chains at the base of the clock, and I set the pendulum in motion and it only keeps going for about 2-3 minutes. I know you're supposed to let the chimes finish with each movement of the hands (which I did on the last setting of them) but I don't know how much they got moved around previous to this. Is there something simple I'm missing or should I take this to a professional?
