I am 18 and am starting college in a few days, however, I only have my learner's permit and can't get my license until the end of October. Neither of my parents or anyone I know is able to take me to and from class, so what are the chances of me being caught if I decide to drive with only my permit, and if I do get caught what are the penalties (for the state of VA)? I know there is probably a fine and that's ok, but would I like not be able to get my license until 21 or something? I really don't want to do this I just don't know how else to get to class. Thanks!
