Pegs on a Road Bike, help please?

Think about how you would feel AFTER your friend was badly hurt.
Even if you don't care about your friend, and figure out a way to mount them, its a guaranteed bent axle.

Do not do this. It's dangerous and illegal. You're quite right to say "there is a danger to this and that they should not really be used for this purpose" so take note of your own words. Why go out of your way to do something you realise is pretty stupid.
Even if it could be done, a road bike is not designed to take the weight of two people, it will be hard/impossible to fit pegs, and you'd probably wreck the bike.

No, flat out no. For one, they look stupid, two, road bikes are designed for one person. Three, you can't put pegs on a road bike, the bolt holding the wheel on is too short to properly secure the pegs. Go buy yourself one of those stupid looking stunt bikes that already have pegs on them if your friends are too cheap to get their own bike.

Seeing as I just answered WAZ UP HOMIES question about if it's possible to adjust handlebars, I wouldnt take advice from him. No. Simply no. Road bike axels are made alot lighter and less sturdy than mountain or bmx. they would snap. Dont risk it.
v v v DUH. it can be done. oviously you don't care if it looks stupid. I'm going to guess that its an old bike. (it better be) don't fuck up a nice bike. But anyways, you could try welding some metal together or find a thicker rear axle and then bend the rear dropout to fit it in there. That's about all i can think of with out looking at the bike. Try it at your own risk lmfao!

yes, just buy a crank and wind it on cranks can cost 15.00 and the pegs can cost 18.00 i did it just ask the people for a crank at lowes hope it helps
