Peeta ? Katniss {The Hunger Games} #7 ~ “No one really needs me.” "I do. I need you."
I know
As for the spoiler policy, I think because the books have been out for so long, you don't have to use any spoiler boxes anymore and you should be able to talk about it freely in the thread.

 The syrabolism of the dandelion definitely has to be referenced during the movies IMO.
 Welcome to the thread, I'll add you right now.
I think this has been asked before but since it's pretty quiet now and we have quite a few newbies to the thread, thought I could ask it again. When do you think Katniss fell in love with Peeta?
I think she started developing feelings for him as they began to know each other better during the first Games but the moment that cemented it for me is her risking her life to get the medicine to save Peeta. She said that she did it because she'd never be able to forgive herself if he died when she could have done something to prevent it but I think she genuinely cared about him by then. And when she screamed her lungs out when she thought the doctors were trying to hurt him.

That's what fanfiction is for
I kind of, as a writer, love that she left it up to our imagination, plus, as a doomed shipper, I think the way she wrote it was very ... respectful (?) of other ships, etc. And showed exactly why P/K belonged together.

I loved the quiet moments too. I read stuff I missed the first time around. Like Peeta helping Katniss with her family's book (of herbal medicines). And how she became obsessed with his eyelashes.

It was frustrating but I did sort of liked that she behaved that way because it showed that she was just a regular, confused teenage girl at the end of the day, despite whatever she has succeeded in doing. And this has been mentioned before but she didn't want to need Peeta so she'd go to the extent to deny everything she was feeling because it was simplier that way and because she knew firsthand (from seeing her mother not coping with her father's death well) how loving someone could have the power to break someone. Which was a huge fear for her because she really didn't want to end up as a replica of her mother.
I think Gale knew deep down that she had chosen Peeta, even if she didn't realise it herself. Just like he knew that she'd never be able to let go of Peeta if he didn't regain his memory and got better after the hijacking.

I would of love to see how they grew back together too. I would love to see how their relationship slowly built back up and how they began to grow old together.
