I am growing an amaryllis from a bulb in my office and It was leaning and I have about an 1inch of water over the soil in the bucket. After trying to stabilize the 2 foot single rod with PEEK (1/4 inch round) (supposedly safe in human bodies) I returned to the office and it looks like it is dying. Is it the over watering or the rod that is killing my plant? Is there anything I can do? Should I give it to a horticulturist to fix. It only cost $5 dollars at K-Mart but it has been bring so much joy the quilt of killing this beautiful plant when it hasn't even reached it's prime of its life is haunting me. Please help.
