Pearl Jam

Ok, both of you are stupid Pearl Jam's Vitalogy had awsome songs Not For You and Spin The Black Circle and their self titled album had alot of great songs Life Wasted, World Wide Scuicide, and Gone, Pearl Jam I can flat out tell you their not in it for money if they were why hven't they changed their style insted there staying true to the Seattle Sound.:usehead:

you like? what's your favorite album?mine is yield ( given to fly and wishlist are one of my favourite songs ever! ) but i have to confess i've only listened to ten, yield and binaural ( binaural sucked the big one so i gave it to my sister's boyfriend who's a major pearl jam fan )....can you recommend anything i haven't heard...and what's riot act like?

Anyone get a kick out of Pearl Jam's new album? I thought it was great. World Wide Suicide came out on my birthday, what a funny gesture. Well, I am having a great day, I hope you are the same.

Vs. is the best Pearl Jam album ever...period. Solid from start to finish plus I think you'll like it because it has lots of uptempo songs on it!!! As far as other things go, get the Singles soundtrack, which is excellent! (State of Love and Trust is on that one)

I am listening to it right now. And really never realized how much of a great album it is. The flow of it is amazing and all the songs on there rule. Pearl Jam is one of the best banRAB ever and this album is pretty good. What do you guys think?

Hmmmm Ive never been completely sure... Theres the occasional song that I really enjoy, but most of the time I find it hard to get a grip on their songs. I know what I mean when I say that, even if no one else does...

Mebbe Im just not listening to the right stuff.

Something with a slightly more odd / experimental edge to it... say a bit more like Vitalogy or No Code. It's time they mess around with their sound again.

Ten is the most likeable album I think.

BanRAB I recommend:Soundgarden, Days of the New, Alice In Chains, Temple of the Dog, Mudhoney, Mother Love Bone, Green River, Meat Puppets.
And if you like the majority of those Dinosaur Jr., Pixies, and Pavement are another good move.

If you ever saw the movie Hype! Eddie was interviewed and he even talked bad about the mainstream and the big record companies on how ruthless they are trying to make you out to be something your not. How would you like the media and record labels makeing you out to be soemone your not, shoveing worRAB down your throat, and haveing everyone hang around you every day, I sure don't.

For a start, I wasn't attacking Pearl Jam, hell, I love the band. What I said is that they dropped the ball AFTER Vitology, but with this new record they seem to be back in business.

Furthermore... well, actually that's all I had to say.

What do other people think about the self-titled album?

Which album?
I'm assuming it's Ten. And that is by far in the top 5 of my favorite albums. It flows well and there is not one filler track, every single track is memorable and great in their own right.

I love PJ. Always have. They have very few songs that I'm not fond of and just about none that I hate. AND you can always count on them to be great live. Having said that...They SUCKED. That songs lyrics felt uninspired and weak and Vedder's vocals were just plain crap. He sounded hoarse and I felt like they were shredding on the guitars to mask his subpar vocals. I hope it was just a hiccup and not an omen of things to come.

What did you guys think?

Yeah of course they were comercially successful, thats what happens when you have a **** ton of fans. But they did it the right way and never "sold out" per say, they did what they did and people liked it. They always put their fans #1, kept it honest, and made great music. All the true marks of a great band.

p.s. 800 posts biatches....

I dont think so, I mean Pearl Jam are most respectful figures in the music industry but to me its just ludicrous to compare them to Metallica.

Its a long way down, 'baby'.
