Oh my gosh, I know how you feel. I only saw this film for the first time on Saturday night and I'm in love with it. I just...everything about it is just amazing. :in_love:

I've fallen in love with Josh Hartnett after watching it :in_love: I cried for two hours after [sp] Danny died [/sp] :bawl: He was my favourite character - so good looking, and so lovely :D

Indeed, indeed. Wow, I found myself nodding my head, I agree with everything you said.

I loved the action sequences, but I agree that the quieter, emotional moments were also well shot and powerful.

Ha, right. Black Hawk Down, I think, is the better movie, but those guys were great in both.

I've never seen Pearl Harbor, but I've heard it was a great movie. All I remember was Ben Affleck was in it.

OMG, A PEARL HARBOR THREAD! :woot:
LOL, at Danny's expression in the #5th Graphic. Are those Headers or Signatures?

As a kid, I remember my Mom would watch this movie over and over (just for the Pearl Harbor Attack) when she rented it. I liked it at first, but my attention span was short at the time and I was seriously tired of seeing it on the screen everytime I entered the room. To put it mildly, I had no cuddly warm fleeings toward the movie by the time Mom returned it to Blockbuster.

Fast forward 7/8 or some years later, I'm hopped on Hartnett-Happy Juice and decided to watch Pearl Harbor again and I LOVED IT (Amazing what a little maturity and paitence can do for you). I was just wowed, from beginning to end as I watched it on the screen of my computer.

The "Love Story", I thought, was nicely done, on both the Rafe/Evelyn and Danny/Evelyn side; But only the DannyxEvy Relationship felt really believable (like the writer had spent all his/her time on making the viewer believe that it could happen, work out). Its one of the reasons the ending of the film breaks my heart so much.

The commentary about Michael Bay knowing only how to action scenes (which in this film, are amazing) is a very slanted and overexaggerated Opinion; He handled the slower paced scenes quite well. The performances were great, even though Alfeck had a tendacy to overract in some moments (Baldwin was laying on a bit too thick as Doolittle), Josh Hartnett and Kate Beckinsale were just awesome.

Hans Zimmer's score is very... unqiue (I.E., I enjoyed it) in the way that it doesn't really sound like its been composed by him until you watch the scene where Danny and/or Rafe's Airplane's come flying out of the smoke, and that trademark Zimmer theme comes to life.

The Biggest complaint this film has against it (aside from Ben Afleck, Bay and The Love Story), is the Historical Inaccuracy, But my WWII History is so dang on Rusty, that I didn't bother to look for it.

Lastly; Is just me, or does anyone find it funny that most of the actors in Pearl Harbor end up starring in Black Hawk Down with Josh Hartnett (Tom Sizemore, William Fichtner, Ewen Bremner, etc.)?

I don't think I can even describe how much I love this movie.
Every single time I watch, I literally like sob :bawl:

i loved this film but i really wanted evelyn and danny to end up together .

i was in tears when he died ! IN TEARS !

but i love kate beckinsale ! WOOP WOOP!

So i'm on a PH high right now, I haven't even watched the movie (that) recently, but I found an amazing avatar, so I just couldn't NOT, lol.

I plan to watch it today, though.

Honestly, people are always comparing movies to others.

It's not Titanic.. nothing like it, actually.
So stop comparing.
Sheesh.

Anyways, I loved it.
Great action, great love, great everything.

The banners are pretty  I really loved Evelyn and Danny together although I felt bad for Rafe.

hey guys! Can I please be added? I have always loved this movie!♥

i knowwwwwwwwww :bawl: i loved him so much

ME TOO!

I like what they did with Pearl Harbor...I think it showed how terrible it was but at the same time made it likable to Hollywood

I want to buy the 4-disc set director's cut of this movie and I want to know if it's worth it. I love the movie overall but I especially love Danny/Evelyn and I was wondering if the longer version has more scenes of them?

I'm big on history, so I'm not really a fan of Hollywood messing around with history. I like this movie, but I always stop it when Roosevelt is giving his famous speech and leave it at that. Because that to me was Pearl Harbor and the war, they were setting off onto something and they didn't know what was going to happen.
