pearl and data plan....no e-mail

when you set up your account, it should have asked for PIN input..if you did that, then go in to your tmo account again, and click the link that says send service books.

that plan is very new, so im not sure exactly how to get it working...try that first.
 
have you tried this?

options/advanced options/host routing table
once in there click menu and choose register now

and when you say you can't send email from your phone, is there no 'send' option? does it say its lacking in service books when you try?

it says "no message service configured. You will only be able to save drafts."

i tried registering my phone on the network again, and its still not working.

I can get google maps working, i can surf the web, and do anything else related to data (excpet bb maps) and i really want e-mail.

i apreciate your help though any more advice?
 
If someone sends you an email do you receive it. When you pull up your menu do you have your message icon and the an icon for your gmail account and your TMo.blackberry.net account? Have you've gone to setup internet email icon on your device? If so go there and click on email accounts and check to see if it shows both your accounts on there. And make sure they've been validated. If they haven't click the validate button and see what happens ? If all that fails you may have to do a warranty exchange or do a wipe and reload. ~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~
 
ok, from my yahoo account i tried to send it to [email protected] and it faield.

I have no icon for gmail.

I have gone through t-zones and gone and setup the e-mail from the deice on the web but i have no icon that says to set up e-mail.

this is the second bb pearl i've had (first one died un-expectingly)
 
does it say data connection refused at the top of your screen? try this, do a abttery pull, then turn wireless off, leave it off for about a minute, then turn it back on. let it load up and you should get an icon for set up internet email, if you don't then you are going to have to probably do a wipe and restore.
 
nope, it doesn't say data refused. i tried the battery pull and then turned wireless off, then pulled battery again and still nothing....i guess i'll try a wipe and reinstall everything.
