so, verizon, sprint and att all seem to be getting da love from rim with 8120's, 8130's, whatever. i can't remember seeing here or anywhere any release dates, specs for a tmo pearl 2. anyone got any info...?

yeah, i know that post, thx! but, back to my q: all these posts talk about rogers, and verizon, etc., but no talk of tmo. anyone got any info on the 8120 (or 8130 or 81x0) coming to tmo? i mean, i suppose i could buy the att one and unlock it. att is on EDGE, right? cuz that's what tmo is, and that's what i'll need.

seriously, though, is there any talk of release dates, real or imagined or rumored, for pearl 2 on tmo?

Good news its a projected release date of hopefully December. I'm a sales rep for tmo and that was leaked to us
 
With the string of pearls (the five different colored 8100s) i would find it difficult to believe the 8100 is going out anytime this year. I have not seen anything to validate any 2007 or early 2008 release dates for a 8120, purely rumor.
 
ATT hasnt seen anything about the Pearl 2 coming to them. GSM release of the 8120 is around December as said above, but thats all any US carriers have really heard about the GSM version of it. Its all CDMA right now
 
so, i sent an e-mail to tmo customer care this a.m., and this is the reponse i got (no, they did not actually address me as 'shmengie'!): so, hopefully, ssjason's secret info is right, cuz officially, there is no pearl 2 planned for tmo, although i'm sure one will have to come at some point.
 
Yeah I wouldn't depend on the Tmobile's reps too much cause for every blackberry & non-bb phone to come out before, I was always told that they weren't going to get that phone in or they didnt know what I was talking about....blah blah blah and POOF the phone suddenly became available on T-mobile. If I really want to know I just check the forums for leak stories and such. It's bound to come out for Tmobile I don't see why they would miss out on a great phone like the Pearl 2?
