I'm in the process of my peace corps application and this is something that i've dreamed my whole life of doing. My question is about how honest I should be when it concerns my past marijuana use.
During college and a few months after graduation, I was a regular marijuana smoker. Now, as I've realized that human services is the area that I am VERY much involved with and want to join the peace corps, I haven't smoked at all. It's been almost two months -- that may not seem like that long but I am very proud of myself and this is how important peace corps is to me.
I'm not too concerned about drug testing -- I heard they don't "really" drug test but they do take blood work and will screen for drugs. My question is what I should do if 1) anything shows up in my system and 2) how honest I should be about my past usage.
Do I lie and tell them I did it a few times in college or tell the truth and how I quit for the peace corps. Any advice (as long as it's not rude) will be helpful!
PS - I know you can't smoke while in service and i have no intentions of doing that. This really does mean the world to me...
