I am looking at getting my wife a PDA phone that she can also use with a language program. Palm, Blackberry, etc. AT&T, Verizon, Sprint all are okay here on the west coast. Not so concerned about cost but think a touch screen with QWERTY would be good. Noting the size of a brick either. Any ideas in a direction?

If you have a language program in mind, make sure you get a phone that is compatible with it. If you don't have one and that is the major factor, I suggest looking to see what is available and what OS you will need. Just don't think the program will run on any device.

The we can talk about carriers and devices.

System requirements:

Windows Mobile 2003
Windows Mobile Version 5.0
RAM: 6 MB for the main application (work)
5 MB for the databases (storage)
TrueType font file for complex eastern languages takes from 3 to 5 MB

I kind of like the HTC 8525. Does anyone know if that may work?
