PCMCIA Bluetooth adapter for Nokia N80 - Recommendations?

So I'm wanting to make my laptop Bluetooth so I don't have to use the Nokia cable to sync my N80. I don't want to get one of the USB bluetooth adapters because I don't want it sticking out the side all the time. I'd rather use my PCMCIA slot so I keep a nice clean look. Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced one that you have had luck with. Again I'm using the N80, but if you have another Nokia phone, please let me know what phone your using.

Ive seen a few....costing around $80! Major rip off seeing you can get a USB Dongle for $15. How often do you really need to sync that you need it in ALL the time? The dongles are tiny! I have seen them the size of my thumb. Stick it in, sync, take it out and throw it in your pocket or laptop bag. Simple enough.

What type of laptop do you have? You might beable to get the BT Module...
 
I have a Billionton Card with Bluetooth 2.0+EDR
I got it off ebay for $50.

Had to hack in Widcomm drivers, though. I made a post about it in the bluetooth forum.

It barely sticks out so I dont have to constantly plug and unplug it when travelling. I can leave it in permanently.
Good for my mouse too, since it uses bluetooth.
 
Same here I was looking at the PC Card BT adapters but opt'd to upgrade the modem chip in my thinkpad to have built-in BT. I'd go for one that is supported by XP SP2 for ease of use, otherwise it shouldn't matter much. I've have good success with non-name/store brand BT adapters because they tend to be Widcomm drivers and XP installs them without a fuss.

both are 2.0 Class 1 (~300ft range) and use the Toshiba stack. Updated drivers are on Zoom's website. (the included CD version has some issues)

I'm using it with my Dell Latitude w/XP Pro and my E60 - finds the phone pretty quickly. I haven't really checked out the range, but I may try it with headset and use the PC for VOIP.

Got mine for $48 - price is up slightly - the USB version is half the price.

The Zoom was the only PC Card I found that was Class 1 2.0.
 
Going to take a shot in the dark here...
With PDAs, you can get bluetooth compactflash adapters for about $30. Assuming you can plug it into a standard $5-10 PCMCIA compactflash reader, it could be a solution that is significantly cheaper than a normal PCMCIA bluetooth adapter.
I of course didn't take the time to see if it compatible, and leave that to someone else...
 
Thanks guys. I checked out the zoom card as recommened and I now plan on ordering it fro NewEgg. It's exactly what I was looking for!
