PC Suite doesnt recognize my phone

i have a nokia 3220 and i connected it to my computer with a DKU-5 cable, i already installed the driver for the cable, but pc suite doesnt seem to connect to the phone, its like its not even there. what should i do???

ps. on PC Suite, on the "manage connections" part, it says that the DKU-5 is a serial cable, does that have anything to do with it??
