Have whoever lives at that address mail you your item back & then issue the refund. It's their fault for giving you the wrong address. In this situation paypal will basically advize you to do what i havs just told you. tracking # wise the item will not show up until it is actually delivered, i sell alot on ebay & have noticed that the post office only provides that info once the item is actually delivered.
Dont give in to stupid buyers, you call the shots!

I sold an item to a customer on ebay and the buyer paid by e-check. The e-check didn't clear until yesterday and I had already gone and sent the item out to the buyer last week to try and get it to them before Christmas. The item has not been delivered to the buyer and the buyer filed a dispute with paypal. The item was not supposed to be shipped out until today because their e-check didn't clear but I did them a favor and sent it earlier. Because of the holiday the postal service is slow and I told them to give it a few days for the item to get delivered. The buyer is mad because they are no longer at the address that they provided me. (They were at their Grandmother's for the weekend). They are filing a claim even though the item was shipped. I did not purchase a tracking number for the item and I want to find out how to handle this dispute on paypal. I have the receipt for the item. I don't mind giving them their money back I just want to know how I can receive my item back. How will paypal handle that? Will they make the buyer send the item back to me once it's shipped? Paypal has already deducted their money I just want my item back.
