America's Got Talent.? Frankly, I JUST watched this happen in the episode airing right now and I need a place to vent so here I am. Another frank point, I'm too fired up to even look up the spelling of his name just so I don't get it wrong.
So REALLY? Paul Safey Jr., the absolutely incredible singer was eliminated... You know what, let's just ignore the fact that his voice and performance is and was awe-inspiring. I absolutely LOVE Future Funk because they are incredible dancers for their age, they're extremely funny, talented, entertaining, and OBVIOUSLY without mention adorable and cute and just amazing! I love RNG because they are such great technical dancers for their age and they don't JUST dance, they use their props very well and they add makeup and costumes which just makes for incredible routines. Not to mention, they're so cute!
But talent-wise, the older ones are better than them. They are so young, they will be growing so much and that would be the perfect time to do this. Not to mention, their parents most likely want them to attend school (or at least be home-schooled) and go to college. Paul Safey Jr. was just a better act and one that I would LOVE and pay a lot of money to see in Vegas (or anywhere else, really...).
It just doesn't seem right. At all. Which brings me back to the magician who did sleight of hand. He was spectacular and I would ALSO LOVE and pay lots of money to see him anywhere! People DO appreciate sleight of hand because honestly, it's incredible to see. And when I watch that type of "magic", I focus so much into it that I just get lost in the immaculate world of illusion and "magic". Not only that, but everyone obviously knows that it takes years to master. Not only THAT, but he executed it spectacularly. The colors he chose for everything as well as the fans and umbrellas added so much zest to an already magnificent show. I can think of a couple of places that were not as good as him and still got through...
Back to Paul Safey Jr... I LOVED his cheesiness and no, I'm not 60 years old and watching him DOESN'T make me nostalgic since I've never even lived in that era. I just recently turned 16 years old. I loved it so much. The whole thing just blew me away and I was shocked when he didn't go through (but not so much, I guess since we can predict how America votes...). Why do something more modern if that's not him? Isn't the whole point of pursuing singing not only because you're good at it, but because it's self-expression to some, they love it, and they're passionate about it? Whoops.
Such a long rant. If you read it all, good job. If you concur, please write so. If you disagree, do the same. But Paul Safey Jr. and the magic man (sorry, too fired up to stop posting this and looking for his name, please write it if you know) deserve Vegas and the money so, so much. It's a perfect fit.
Oh and I love Fighting Gravity as well. They are so talented but I would just like to point out that their act has been in Asia (especially China) for a relatively long time now. Not that it matters and not that I'm bashing them for it. I've just watched a lot of it before and got irked when Piers called it "original" (although for them to be doing it here, it is. and it's so much more original than singing or whatever but you know, we all have our pet peeves and yours might be stupid teens ranting and complaining!)
