5 or more years ago, i was shoved to the ground while playing hockey with family, my one cousin shoved me to the ground and i landed on my back in the tailbone area. After that i couldn't get up at first someone had to help me, it hurt to walk, and i could barely sit because it just hurt so bad! Now i know i had pain for a while and now i can't sit a certain way or else well in that area that i hurt is painful. it hasn't been until lately that i'm noticing i'm experiencing just terrible pain within that area. Could i have damaged anything when this happened? Is there any suggestions that could help ease the pain?

Am I understanding right that you were injured 5 some years ago, had quite a bit of pain back then, but it cleared up and you were pain-free for a while?

Maybe you re-injured a fragile area without realizing it. I would make an appointment to have some basic x-rays taken. If necessary, your family doctor can then refer you on to a specialist or order further tests himself. Whether it's an old injury or something completely unrelated, if it's that painful, you need to get it checked out. Back issues can be daunting to diagnose, so be prepared to be patient and jump (gently) through the required hoops.

I hope you'll get answers and some help before too long.

Blessings,
Emily
