Passed my driving test, Can I start driving straight away?

I passed my practical driving test and posted off for my full UK license,
do i have to wait for that to arrive in the post before i can drive or can i just get insurance and drive straight away?
don't know if its relevant or not but i sent the license off a week ago and they sent it back asking if i wanted to keep my old photo or they will charge me for a new photo

you have to have the actual drivers license and insurance then yes you can drive but make sure for like the first couple of months that you have no one in the car with you unless its family that is the rule ok i hope i can help you
