Often when talking about something or giving directions they use "up here / there", "down here / there", "over here / there", etc. I still can't figure out what is 'up' and what is 'down' in English when you move in horizontal plane. Why not to just say "You can find it there" instead of "You can find it up (down / over) there". I really want to learn to properly use these participles as they can add some fluency to speech.
