Partial use of PAR files?

I'd like to remove some items from an existing PAR file, so is there an application that will let you edit par files?

Par files are meant to recover damage data and you only need the amount of par files as the amount of damaged data. So if you download 4 gigs and only 49 megs are damaged you only need 49 megs worth of par files.

do you mean you only downloaded part of the files that the par2 files are meant to fix so you dont have enough data to fix anything.

sorry i doubt there are tools to edit par files like you want. the maths behind pars is pretty complex and removing some files from one would probably be impossible.
