On Friday 10/3, almost all Cricket phones within about a mile of our location in Mesa, AZ (zip 85201) stopped working, we could not make or receive calls nor get 611 or *228 on many phones, including original cricket phones, & flashed phones and PDA;s.
We could drive down the street and they would work.
Cricket denied any knowledge of this problem, Today we still have many phones that did work on Thursday that are still unable to reach 611 or *228 - we eventually get call failed, yet some cricket phones seems to keep working.
I imagine that a tower is down causing network congestion, what I can't figure out is why some phones seem to work most (or all) the time.
Does PRL have anything to do with what local towers I can access. I have tried loading different prl's 1039,1040, 1007,1009 and it doesnt seem to make a difference,
Any ideas on what influences whether a particular phone will work? And how can i get the real scoop on what is down at Cricket.
