parrot fish cichlid question!!?

My parrotfish are always fighting.......there were 3 of them but the other one died...the other one got blind.....i don't know why but they're always fighting..........so we separated them.....is it normal for cichlids to be aggressive?
 
Yes, They are very aggressive. Make some hiding places in tank for them. This will reduce the problem.
 
true parrot cichlids shouldnt be able to do much damage with their deformed mouth. They can't close it. This could be a jelly bean parrot with a more formed mouth. if the tank is under 55 gallons its a territory issue these things get huge when full sized and will easily need a large tank.
