Parents- have any of you owned a Jeep Cherokee?

I bought a 98 Jeep Cherokee yesterday. It's in great condition. The only problems with it was the a/c didn't work and it has some minor rust under the doors. My husband has already fixed the a/c today (thank God, it's HOT here!), and he is going to repair the rust spots. It has 202,000 miles on it.

I just want to know what you like/dislike about this car. What if any problems or repairs you've had? And any other info you'd like to add.

And, yes, I know this isn't really the right section. But I asked in the Jeep section and I'm not getting any answers.
It has been very well taken care of. The woman we bought it from gave us all of the paperwork for the maintenance, oil changes, tires, brakes, etc that she had done. She even took it in and had the tires rotated and washed it yesterday before we picked it up.
I'm soooo happy that I'll have a 4x4 this winter!!! We live in the country and they take forever to clear our roads. My FIL will be happy too - he won't have to take me to work when it snows.

I owned a 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee a few years ago. The A/S was broken on it as well. The whole unit needed to be replaced, so I just traded in the car and upgraded to a new vehicle. Which was too bad, I only had it for about a year and I loved it-No other problems but that one.

My parents own a 2000-Something Grand Cherokee. Their A/C has also malfunctioned. I'm guessing it's a design flaw or something.

I will tell you, it was one of the best cars I've ever owned. It never had any issue but the A/C. Drove great, and was a life saver in the winter when driving in the snow.

My husband has a '99 Jeep Cherokee Sport and he loves it. He currently needs a new radiator and we had to replace the serpentine belt about a month ago but it's been a very good vehicle. It's the hunting truck so it gets pretty beat up but it's been very reliable. His has about 160K miles so I don't know about what lies ahead but we don't regret buying it.

My first car was a 1998 Jeep Cherokee. I bought it with 100,000 miles on it. I had problems with the brakes and the transmission. I replaced the brakes twice. I bought a Jeep Liberty a few years ago and I sold the Cherokee to my mom. She is still driving it and it has over 200,000 miles on it now. I don't think she has had any problems with it so far.
