...you going to limit TV? We are going to let our child play video games. I mean my husband and I both love video games. We both grew up playing the classics like Super Mario Brothers. For NES. And Super Mario World and Donkey Kong Country and the Disney games for the SNES.

We feel like it will be a good activity we can all do together. And since we have some of the old systems like NES, SNES, and New systems like the Wii. It will be good because our child can play the games we liked growing up (which is easier to learn on) and the newer games.

Thats just how we feel.

As far as TV goes I feel there will be a limit? Not all day will be spent infront of the tv. Outdoor playtime will be encouraged along with trips to the park and water park.

For our childs TV. (When our child is 3 we plan to give him our TV from our room) we will have it locked so only certain channells can be watched.

So just curious on most parents opinions on that stuff

I am an intelligent, responsible, and active thirteen year old male and my mother does not put a limit on video games for me. We are growing up in a new technology age and the earlier kids learn about technology, the better. I suggest you let you kids play video games on the computer, that way they learn more about the computer and how it works which will prepare them for the future, now days we rely on technology for all of our computing needs. As for television, I do not watch it unless my favorite show "PrisonBreak" is on. I would say to let them play video games, watch tv, etc. whenever they want, just make sure it is not interfering with their school work and fitness and family relationships. Make sure they eat healthy and get plenty of excersize too. I hope I helped =p. Good Luck

it depends on games
i have my 4yr old play fear in order to build character
i disapprove of games such as fairly odd parenst and sponge bob as i fear it may gay up my child

We have a Nintindo handheld... not a DS, just a normal one. And its Charlotte's (my 4 year old's) she has Bob the Builder, Kirby's Dream Land, Bubble Bubble, and Pac Man. My kids, age 3 and 4, are aloud to watch 4 shows a day. Like Miss Spider's sunny patch friends, Clifford, Barney, that kind of stuff.
