Parents complain about me not going to church enough?

My parents think the reason that I'm not going to church is because I spent a lot of time on the computer. But they have an excuse since I'm on the computer for a long time anyway (But not why I don't go to church, I'm an atheist). Today they're saying that they are going to take the PC away from me. Everyone in my family is Christian except me and my stepdad still doesn't know about the conversation today. What could I do about this?

Rob,
I understand your frustration. I live in Dallas, TX, which is the buckle of the Bible belt. I see people with your parents' attitude all the time. The easiest thing would be to go to church with them on Sunday morning. It will only take an hour or two of your time. Go through the motions. While the minister or priest is giving his sermon, you can be thinking of what you want for lunch or what computer game you want to play.

Tell them that your religion is your choice, they can influence your beliefs but they can't make you believe something.
Sit them down and talk to them about it. Tell them that you don't feel the need to go to church a lot, and you can do all your praying and bible study at home.
Even if your not doing it, it's better then flat out saying 'I don't believe in God.'
