Parents: At what age would you buy are child a dirt bike/4-wheeler etc?

My oldest son is 8yrs old and we live on partly wooded land. I have 2 4-wheelers, 1 3-wheeler and 2 dirtbikes, all to big for him to ride by himself, but he LOVES going for rides on them and when he goes to my brother-in-laws house he drives a small 4-wheeler and he loves it.

Do you think a 4-wheeler is an appropiet gift for a 8yr old boy?
I'll be getting it for him for christmas

Yes, my kid was given a little 4 wheeler at age 6 and it was fine. We made sure to never turn our back, for safety reasons, but nothing ever happened and it was good.

I think a 4 wheeler would be fine, but I wouldn't do a dirt bike yet. A go-cart would be fun too.

I think it would be great!!! I think that is the perfect age as long as there is an adult there to help him out.

Absolutely. My cousins grandmother, my aunt, had them on go-carts and 4wheelers since they were 4. They love it, and of course, just take safety precautions.
